Specialist in Internal Medicine and Clinical Nutrition. PhD in Medicine at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain. Fellow of the National Lipid Association. Co-founder of the Spanish Familial Hypercholesterolemia Foundation and is currently a member of its scientific committee. from 2014-2020 he was staff and head od Department Clinical Nutrition in Clinica Las Condes, Santiago. Current position as CoDirector Center For Advanced Metabolic Medicine and Nutrition. President of the Chilean Atherosclerosis Working Group Corporation; Chair of the Federation of the Americas of the International Atherosclerosis Society; President of the Iberoamerican FH Network; National Leader of the FHSC European Atherosclerosis Society; Governor for CHile of the International Society of Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy. Collaborated in the WHF Cholesterol Roadmap, and Chilean guidance for lipid disorder management 2018.
