Bushra Alghamdi holds a Ph.D. in Systems Biology and Bioinformatics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. During her doctoral studies, she was awarded a fellowship in the School of Medicine’s Translational Program, where she worked closely with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to transition her research from the lab to market applications.
Currently, Bushra serves as the Surveillance and Analytics Manager at the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control. In this role, her primary focus is on enhancing data quality and leveraging advanced analytics to provide deeper public health insights. She aims to optimize surveillance systems and support data-driven decision-making in public health strategies.
Bushra earned her Master’s in Health Informatics from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, where she also obtained Graduate Certifications in Data Analytics and Health Informatics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Technology with a minor in Data Mining from King Abdulaziz University.
Her research interests are centered on the application of clinical innovations in hospital settings to improve clinical outcomes and advance preventive measures that promote healthy aging.
