Ashna Nastar

Dr. Ashna Nastar is a Consultant Endocrinologist at National University Hospital and Alexandra Hospital, where she also serves as Deputy Head of the Medical Outpatients Department. A graduate of the University of Cambridge, UK, her clinical and research interests are in lipid disorders, primarily familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH). Dr. Nastar also has a special interest in incorporating technology and real-world clinical evidence into improved solutions for personalised health. This includes the use of digital platforms to improve risk communication around genetic testing for patients and their families. Additionally, she leads a clinical pilot for pre-emptive pharmacogenomics at Alexandra Hospital, integrating drug-gene testing into electronic health records to guide personalized treatment choices.
