The Scientific Committee is interested in reviewing abstracts covering a broad range of topics. The full list of topics is on the Program page.
Rules for Submission and Presentation
- Abstracts must include some new data and must not have been presented or published in their entirety elsewhere prior to presentation at ISA 2024.
- The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of and approve the content of the abstract before submission.
- There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author can submit.
- All abstracts will be submitted online. The submitter will receive a system generated email confirming successful abstract submission. Contact isa2024oman@wearemci.com if a confirmation email is not received within two hours of submission.
- The confirmation email will include an assigned abstract number. Refer to this abstract number in all correspondence regarding the abstract.
- Notify the Secretariat immediately if there are any changes in email addresses or presenting author information.
- Notifications regarding the abstract’s status will be sent once the review process is complete.
- The presenter of an accepted abstract must register for the meeting ahead of the registration deadline and is expected to present in person.
- Accepted abstracts will be scheduled for either oral or poster presentation and included in the online congress abstract book as a supplement to Atherosclerosis (Elsevier).
Terms & Conditions
The Scientific Committee will make the final decision regarding the acceptance of abstracts for presentation, the form of presentation (oral or poster) and will determine the presentation schedule.
- The official language of the congress is English.
- Abstracts must adhere to the provided submission guidelines.
- Upon abstract acceptance, the presenter of an accepted abstract must register for the meeting ahead of the registration deadline. Failure to register by this deadline will lead to the cancellation of the submission.
- A certificate of appreciation will be presented to all presenters in recognition of their contributions. This certificate is separate from the attendance certificate provided to all participants.
Declaration of Consent
This is a declaration of consent and copyright assignment for the publication of an abstract. By submitting the abstract, the author agrees to the following terms:
- Preview and Accuracy: The author confirms that they have reviewed the abstract and that all the information provided is accurate. They acknowledge that once submitted, the content cannot be modified or corrected.
- Consent to Publication: Submission of the abstract gives consent for it to be published, including on the congress website, programs, abstract book, and other promotional materials related to ISA 2024.
- Ownership and Rights: The author asserts that they are the sole owner of the content provided in the abstract or have the necessary rights to it. They guarantee that publishing the abstract won’t violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
- License to Organizers: The author grants the organizers a royalty-free, permanent, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the content.
- Removal of Non-compliant Content: The organizers reserve the right to remove any abstract from publication if it doesn’t adhere to these terms.
- Corresponding Author: The contact details in the system are those of the corresponding author. The corresponding author is responsible for informing all other authors about the status of the abstract.
This declaration ensures that the abstract submission is accurate, complies with copyright and ownership regulations, and grants the organizers the right to publish the content.
